Questgates - Fire Damage

A fire extensively damaged this early 1900's property. Loss Adjusters Questgates appointed Johns of Nottingham to reinstate this period residence to its original splendor. The damage was structural and cosmetic, to the extent, that the entire roof had to be stripped and replaced, in order to make the property watertight before further renovations could take place. The scope of works entailed a complete electrical rewire and the installation of a new central heating system . The associated image demonstrates the level of detailed and bespoke craftsmanship required to return this home to its original state. Architraves and skirtings were handcrafted in order to provide as faithful a match as possible to the fire damaged originals. Decorating and wallpapering formed a substantial part of the renovation project and at completion this house was returned to its former glory.
