Edgware Community Hospital

Client: Carillion Contract Value: £450,000
We proactively helped deliver the new build and refurbishment of an existing hospital PFI Scheme valued at £26m. The existing surfaces were very poor and friable and there was no budget to remove and re-apply new plaster, so we had to devise a way of using preparation, stain blocking, stabilising the wall and ceiling surfaces in order to provide a fresh and new lease of life to the existing areas. The departments in the new build included day surgery, maternity suites, radiology, day centre, birth centre, education/information centre, chiropody and ear and nose department, outdoor patient department, central rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, urgent treatment centre, EMI wards, immediate care wards etc. Much of this involved multi-coloured spray application and way-finding features. We also installed CS Groups Wallflex Hygienic Coats in key areas of the new hospital for the NHS.
